Position Overview

Blackpeak is hiring a Researcher (Investigations) to be based in our Shanghai office. The position will engage in investigation and evidence collection related to conflict of interest, related party transaction, corruption, fraud, and IP infringement.

The main responsibilities are:

  • Public domain research and analysis
  • Conduct source inquiry and site visits
  • Evidence notarization for litigation purpose



  • Bachelor’s degree and above
  • Preferably 1–2 years of relevant experience, including professional law enforcement, private security, or corporate compliance/security background with knowledge of criminal, civil, and intellectual property (IP) law.
  • Candidates with auditing, procurement or head-hunter experience will also be considered. Outstanding fresh graduates who are interested in investigation work are also acceptable.
  • Must possess good analytical skills and be able to draw findings from database and internet research
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to conduct investigative interviews with witnesses and other stakeholders
  • Good written communication and report-writing skills
  • Self-motivated, fast learner and good team player
  • Willingness to travel and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of clients and investigation targets
